Classroom partner connection established between Askinosie Chocolate and our neighbor, Boyd Elementary
We’re honored to partner with Boyd Elementary School, an International Baccalaureate school located just blocks from our chocolate factory, to weave aspects of our business into their curriculum. The Boyd Elementary curriculum focuses on critical thinking and careful, logical inquiry to prepare students to question the world around them and provide creative solutions. Askinosie Chocolate team members visit the fifth grade students classrooms – and they also visit our factory – to talk chocolate-making, international direct trade work, personal visioning, and how businesses can solve world problems. Boyd’s thoughtful approach to educating future global citizens integrates directly with Askinosie Chocolate’s business philosophy. It’s a natural partnership full of fun, growth, and of course enjoying lots of chocolate together.
