Alumna Bryn Prater Joins the Board
by Anna Mercer

We are excited to introduce the newest member of our board of directors, Bryn Prater. A Chocolate University alumna and nonprofit professional, Prater brings invaluable experience and perspective to the board.
Prater has worked in the nonprofit sector for over six years. She currently serves as the Capacity Building and Strategic Initiatives Manager at the National Network for Arab American Communities (NNAAC). Previously, Prater interned as a grant writer for Collateral Repair Project, a refugee-focused nonprofit based in Amman, Jordan, where she supported humanitarian efforts for displaced communities. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, with a concentration in Social Policy and Evaluation, and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science of the Middle East and North Africa from Colorado College.
A member of the Chocolate University Class of 2010, Prater joins fellow alumni Taylor Curtis (CU ‘10) and Maliq Hill (CU ‘12) on the board. “I have long appreciated and loved the work of TAF and the opportunity to be able to become involved with TAF again is incredibly exciting to me,” Prater said. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to give back to a program that changed my life, and watch others have a similar experience.”
